Faculty Program Leader Eligibility Criteria and Responsibilities

Faculty eligibility to serve as a Faculty Program Leader

All full-time tenured and non-tenure track faculty in Klein are eligible to lead Klein Global Opportunities programs, with the written approval of their department Chair.

Tenure-track faculty are only eligible to lead a Klein Global Opportunities program with the written approval of both their department Chair and the Dean, and only in cases in which the assignment would further the faculty member’s research agenda in a demonstrable way that would, at the same time, not compromise his or her teaching and other program responsibilities (outlined below) during the duration of the program.

Temple faculty from schools and colleges other than Klein, or faculty from outside of Temple University may only be considered, in the order of preference as just listed, in cases of extreme emergency (e.g., should a selected faculty program leader need to pull out of an already fully-booked program at the last minute and no full-time Klein faculty member is able to make him or herself available to fill that vacancy - see “Changes in Selected Faculty Program Leader,” below).
